Lions defeated Gorkhas by 4 wickets in the Eliminator

The Eliminator match between Lumbini Lions and Kathmandu Gorkhas was won by the Lions by 4 wickets, and made Lions eligible for Qualifiers 2.

Winning the toss, the Gorkhas chose to bat first and our Lions showed their magical spells. Kathmandu Gorkhas were all out in the 20th over and were able to make just 111 runs. Our highest wicket taker Sher Malla and Rohit Paudel took 3-3 wickets each after giving just 22 and 25 runs respectively. It was helped by Ruben Trumplemann, whose spell was the best in today's match by giving just 10 runs in 3 overs and taking 2 wickets. Abhishesh Gautam also helped in the game and took a wicket.

While chasing the score of 112, the Lions made it possible in the 18th over itself. With D’Arcy Short’s 33 runs, Sundeep Jora’s 23, Rohit Paudel's 18, Niroshan Dickwella’s 14 and Trumplemann’s winning four, the team made its way towards Qualifier 2.

The Qualifiers 2 will be playing against the Biratnagar Kings, on Thursday (11th December).
