The story that inspires many - Niroshan Dickwella
Born on June 23, 1993, in Kandy, Sri Lanka, Niroshan Dickwella grew up in an
environment where cricket was more than just a sport. From a very young age,
his cricketing journey through Sri Lanka’s competitive school-cricket system
started, where he made his name before stepping into international cricket.
His journey into international cricket
began after several impressive domestic seasons. Dickwella made his Test debut
in 2014 against South Africa. Later that year, he entered the ODI format,
followed by his T20I debut in 2016. Known for his inventive shot-making and
sharp reflexes behind the stumps, he quickly developed a reputation as one of
Sri Lanka’s most energetic match-winners.

dependable presence behind the stumps with over 150 dismissals for his country.
His proactive wicket-keeping, combined with his style of batting, makes him a
crucial dual-role player.
Throughout his career, he has
represented Sri Lanka in Tests, ODIs, and T20Is, scoring over 4,800 runs and
contributing regularly in domestic and franchise leagues. Despite facing
setbacks and disciplinary challenges at times, Dickwella always found a way to
