After defeating West Indies in a T20 bilateral series, the Rhinos are now in the T20 WC East Asia Pacific Qualifiers 2025 and the tournament started with a win for the Rhinos.
The match took place between Kuwait and Nepal where batting first Nepal gave a score of 141 for 7, all thanks to the Player of the Match Khushal Bhurtel, for his amazing innings of 66 runs off 56 balls.
Our Captain, Rohit Paudel was just able to score 16 runs while batting, but the Skip knows where and how to perform. While chasing the score of 142, Kuwait were stopped at just 83 runs, with Rohit taking 2 important wickets of Kuwait’s captain Mohammed Aslam and Yasim Patel by giving just 9 runs in 2 overs. After not giving the batters a chance to stay on the field for longer, the Nepal Cricket Team won their first match of the Qualifiers by 58 runs.
Starting a tournament with a huge win, not only puts a team on the top of the table but also gives them immense confidence to play better and win the rest of the matches in the tournament.
The next match of Nepal is against Japan on 10th of October.
