Lions Roaring at the World Stage

The Nepal national cricket team has been officially qualified for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, which will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka.

In the current going T20 World Cup Asia & EAP Qualifiers, Nepal performed strongly and secured their position, after giving a tough competition to all the teams.

Under the captaincy of our lion Rohit Paudel, Nepal first won a bilateral series against mighty West Indies and then continued their excellent performance at the world cup qualifiers, remaining unbeaten throughout.

Captain Rohit Paudel played an important role both as a leader and a player, scoring 112 runs in four innings and taking two wickets. Meanwhile, Sundeep Jora couldn’t perform his best this time but continues to be a key middle-order batter for the team.

This qualification will be Nepal’s third official entry to the T20 World Cup, after 2024 and 2024. The 10th edition will take place from 7th February to *th March 2026 in India and Sri Lanka, featuring 20 teams.

Nicknamed as “Cardiac Kids” for their thrilling style of play, Nepal is yet to play two more matches in the Qualifiers against Oman and Samoa.
