The Lumbini Lions emerged as the highest spender at the NPL 2024 auction, investing approximately Rs 84.75 lakh to build a strong and competitive squad. The signing included domestic talents such as Bibek Yadav, Sandeep Jora, Surya Tamang and Ashutosh Ghiraiya, each for significant sums, reflecting the team’s ambition and financial backing.
Team chairman Ishwar GC expressed enthusiasm about the squad’s potential and highlighted the leadership of the national captain Rohit Paudel as a key asset. The bold recruitment strategy reflected the team’s determination to compete strongly for NPL 2024. With the league scheduled for mid-November at Kirtipur, all eyes are on the Lions as they prepare for the tournament.
